Graeme McAllister Poet & Artist
Poetry is a lightning rod, drawing the energies of our myths and our intuitions to capture them in that most mundane but mystical of vessels - language.
Poetry offers us a release from the pressures and strains of our rigidly structured (yet frantic) corridors of modernity. Through poetry we encounter visions startling and alien, yet intimately familiar.
I hope that you will join me on a journey across that bridge between drama and dreams – poetry.
I am delighted to announce an upcoming exhibition in the Belfast-based "Untitled Virtual Gallery" project, an exciting and innovative new venture founded by fine artist and photographer Mathieu Decodts. This exhibition will feature pieces from my debut anthology, "Filigree and Fire". I am still working with Mathieu to finalise the details. You can join the mailing list to stay updated. “Graeme McAllister’s ‘Filigree and Fire’ is a beautiful and unique collection of poetry from start to finish.
Skilfully written, with thought-provoking and evocative imagery, it takes the reader on a journey of mindfulness and the wonder, open to individual perception and interpretation."

“A work of passion.
This kind of book is not my normal, but I find the passion and the emotion expressed in both the poetry and the art to be both genuine and heartfelt. Would recommend."

“Between the words and the visuals, this book gives you the profound sense of peering inside a mind. The poetry is rich and bears contemplation. It's not a book to rush – take your time and let it sink in. Reading it is a meditative experience.
The words are incredibly visually evocative on their own, but the accompanying visuals, also created by the author, push it a step further. There's a wonderful psychedelic effect produced when considered together."
